Petrified Echos

01 September 2026

The snow falls not in white, but in data— a steady drift of bits and bytes settling upon the boards. It coats the copper traces like frost over fallen fields, softening the sharp angles of logic into the blurred edges of memory.

Here, an echo is caught in the circuit’s lap, no longer moving toward its source, but turning inward, becoming heat, then stillness. A signal becomes a structure; a pulse becomes a pace.

There is no winter here, only the preservation of cold truths, kept beneath layers of silica and gold. We do not search for what was lost in the draft; we simply inhabit the space it left behind. Like frost finding home on iron, every piece eventually ceases to move.

It stops being something we look at. It becomes the air we breathe within this frame. It is not missing; it has merely settled. It is scenery now. It is heavy with presence, quiet enough to be heard by nothing at all.
